Yoops
As Pinay Artist's first NFT project, we are excited to share the many faces of Yooper with the world! Look out for the rarest of hats, glasses, and more. For this project, we will be partnering with charities to help support indigenous communities in the Philippines and other developing nations. At least 20% of profits will go towards our charitable projects.
What are NFTs and why invest in it?
Non-fungible token (NFTs) are digital assets, usually art, music, video, or an item within a video game, that act as secure proof of ownership. They have been around since 2014 but the hype began later in 2021. Like physical collectibles, NFTs could also appreciate in value over time; and similar to physical art, people may reproduce art NFTs, but there can only be one owner of the original copy. The transactions and ownerships of NFTs are recorded in the secure blockchain technology, the same system utilized by Bitcoin. You can learn more about blockchain technology here. Unlike Bitcoin, however, NFTs are non-fungible, meaning each token represents a one-of-a-kind item that is irreplaceable.
Why invest in NFTs and more importantly, why choose YoopsNFTs? First of all, investing in NFTs is a largely personal decision. If you have money to spare, it might be worth considering. Just bear in mind it is of course always best practice to diversify your investments. Some people invest in NFTs to learn more about the blockchain technology, which has promising applications. Others may perceive a value in the asset being tokenized as an NFT. Joining the NFT community has also opened career and other opportunities for creators, artists, investors, and developers.
When you purchase a Yoop NFT, you get to connect with other Yoopers (Yoop owners) from across the globe, participate in the planning of our projects in partnership with nonprofit organizations serving indigenous communities, and get access to exclusive events and merchandise discounts!
